There are many different kinds of dermatologists. A dermatologist is a broad term for all the different dermatologists that focus on specific skin disorders, causes of skin disorders, and treatments. Here are 4 kinds of dermatologists:
-Dermapathologist-
Work to find out where various skin diseases originate from.
-Pediatric Dermatologist-
Dermatologists trained to work with children and diagnose/find out about their skin issues.
-Immunodermatologist-
Specialize in finding out how the immune system interacts with the skin. The condition eczema is related to the immune system.
-Cosmetic Dermatologist-
These dermatologists are the most popular of the four. They focus their work more off of the aesthetic goals of modern society. They will: give treatments to help the patient avoid acne scarring, perform laser hair removal, tighten skin and help the patient obtain a more youthful appearance through injections.
